Making Time for Self-Pampering

We women are always putting themselves last. We tend to the needs of our elderly parents, significant others, and children, and by the time we have another go at ourselves, it is either too late in the day or we are just too tired.

Well, I'm here to tell you that we can make time for ourselves, that by incorporating ourselves into our daily routines, we may begin to alleviate the stress connected with the pressures of everyday life.

Here are a few ideas for finding time to pamper yourself:

1 - Designate a space in your home for "ME" time. Once you've established your "ME" time zone. Set aside time each day to meditate, pick up a book, watch your favorite program, or just enjoy some quiet time, even if it is only for a few minutes.

2 - Make your bat tub into a spa experience. Fill your bath with your favorite bath tea or bath salts, light some candles, and listen to some gentle calming music, such as jazz.

3 - Schedule a weekly spa appointment for yourself. Many of them, like facials, body polishes, manicures, and/or pedicures, may be performed at home.

4 - Host a spa party with your buddies. Many businesses are increasingly extending the spa experience into their customers' homes and workplaces. Conduct an online search for spa parties and visit the ones that pique your interest.

5 - During your designated "ME" time, light a purple candle or sprinkle a lavender scented mist in your "ME" space. Lavender contributes to a relaxing and uplifting impact.

Following the above-mentioned tips will have you feeling de-stressed and re-energized in no time.
